Commonwealth Bank AgQuip Australia’s biggest showcase of agri-products

The Commonwealth Bank AgQuip field days is the nation’s biggest showcase of agri-products and, for many companies, it’s a rare chance to talk with and get a direct response from the people who use the products and services on sale.

“Many a designer has gone back to the drawing board after long discussions with the savvy consumers at Australia’s premier primary industry field days,” said Barry Harley, General Manager of Rural Press Events, organisers of the event.

“This is just one aspect of Commonwealth Bank AgQuip and the down-to-earth approach which has worked so well over the years for professionals on the land.”

Today, some 3,000 individual companies will be at Commonwealth Bank AgQuip to interact with the 100,000 plus customers. Commonwealth Bank AgQuip is the largest agricultural and rural marketplace in Australia and among the biggest in the world.

An event at which numerous major companies take the opportunity to introduce new products or new developments in existing product ranges, including...

Australian Centre for Agricultural Health & Safety who will be on hand to provide the Rural Health Check Point. The program offers free health screening and advice on farm noise and hearing loss, cardiovascular health, diabetes, early detection of cancers, emotional well-being, falls and farm injury prevention.

Break It Down Composting who will be releasing the Growing Solutions Compost Tea System as an alternative to chemical fertilisers. From home gardeners to commercial greenhouse growers, farms to municipal greenways, the liquid compost extract or compost tea is made with the Growing Solutions Compost Tea System and is in use around the world.

The Department of Lands who will be offering their mapping and aerial photography service, advice on soil management, crown land management and on hand with their information service on state parks, walking trails, caravan and camping sites.

The Roads & Traffic Authority who will be on hand with information about the new speeding penalties and fines system which will affect all motorists, motorcyclists, heavy vehicle operators and provisional drivers who speed in NSW. Among the changes, lower range speeding offences will now be defined in 10kmh bands instead of every 15km.

The Firearm Safety & Training Council who will be on hand for those who need a firearm’s license or help with feral animal management.

Commonwealth Bank AgQuip field days will be held Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday August 17th, 18th and 19th, 2010, eight kilometres west of Gunnedah NSW, off the Blackjack Road. No admission applies and free parking is available with car park gates opening at 7.30am. General public gates to the event open from 9am to 5pm daily.
