Promotion
The Organisers of Commonwealth Bank AgQuip are a team of marketing professionals with experience in press, radio, television and public relations. The promotional campaign organised each year for AgQuip undoubtedly makes the event the best promoted field days in Australia.
Radio, press, television and direct mail are all utilised with outstanding results. The promotion of AgQuip occurs before, during and after the event and details of the key components are noted below.
Rural Press Publications
Rural Press Events, the organisers of Commonwealth Bank AgQuip is a division of the Rural Press publishing group which comprises over 200 publications in rural and regional Australia.
The publications include the The Land in NSW, Queensland Country Life, North Queensland Register, Stock & Land in Victoria, Stock Journal in South Australia and Farm Weekly in Western Australia. These are without doubt the 'bibles' of rural Australia and add to that the specially produced, direct mailed AgQuip Rural Mail and we have Australia well and truly covered.
The Rural Press Regional Network will also be used to promote Commonwealth Bank AgQuip leading up to the field days highlighting special events and companies who will be participating.
AgQuip Rural Mail
The Rural Mail is AgQuip's own tabloid newspaper, published by the organisers and mailed direct to over 20,000 rural mail boxes in the Hunter Valley, New England, Manning Valley, North West, Central West and Northern Rivers regions of NSW. Participants have an opportunity to advertise in the Rural Mail, which is distributed two weeks prior to AgQuip and is an efficient and effective means of alerting visitors to what will be on show.
The AgQuip Rural Mail carries a detailed site plan of the static display area, pavilions and a full listing of participants, information about the field days and their individual advertisements - this is THE PAPER that lets the farming families know in advance what to expect at Commonwealth Bank AgQuip.
Other Newspapers
In addition to the AgQuip Rural Mail and the Rural Press group, other newspapers and magazines are used to promote Commonwealth Bank AgQuip and event advertising is targeted to the rural decision maker.
Television and Radio
Advertising for AgQuip on television and radio is extensive and includes placement in major markets on Prime, NBN and Southern Cross Ten and the Super Radio group. All stations have specially prepared AgQuip advertising packages available to participants.
Commonwealth Bank Agquip Guidebook
This is a comprehensive guide to AgQuip and a must for all visitors. The Guide Book is designed specifically for visitor use and contains the site plan, pavilion plans, participant listings, products on show, details of amenities - and a host of other information.
Each participant receives one full company listing and product listing reference. During AgQuip, the Guide Book is distributed FREE and visitor surveys reveal that 65% of all respondents find it a useful information source and 57% take it home as a year round reference. The AgQuip Guide Book provides not only a mobile on site advertising medium, but one that is durable as well.
