Toowoomba, Queensland Australia
Major sponsor CRT continues support of FarmFest Field Days

Combined Rural Traders (CRT) is proud to be the major sponsor of the FarmFest field days.

The primary production sector in Queensland is well recognised, not only for the quality of its product but for its ability to diversify and adapt to change, and to lead the charge in terms of new technology.

For this reason, the importance of CRT FarmFest as a forum for showcasing the latest developments in agriculture cannot be overstated. That’s why CRT is pleased and proud to again be involved with Queensland’s premier field days.

CRT is extremely enthusiastic and confident about the future for Queensland agriculture and agribusiness. They’re Australia’s largest group of independent rural retailers with more than three hundred stores and one of more than thirty specialist businesses operating under the Ruralco Holdings Limited umbrella, Australasia’s fastest growing and leading agribusiness.

The Queensland CRT network of more than 70 stores reaches north to Mossman, west to Longreach and south to the border and services all sectors of rural industry. Farmers across the state have access to sixty agronomists and farm advisors who work closely with CRT’s retailers to help all of their customers maximize every return.

CRT FarmFest field days is staged on its own dedicated site at Kingsthorpe Park, west of Toowoomba.

CRT has been servicing the Darling Downs and south eastern Queensland for almost forty years and know exactly what it takes to help local farmers produce great crops and turn out premium livestock. The retailers source products from leading agricultural suppliers across all sectors of the industry from ag chemical, fertilizer, irrigation and fencing equipment through to animal health and rural merchandise products.

Their clients also have access to a wide range of services including wool and livestock agency, stock feed, seed and grain, irrigation, grain marketing, rural and residential real estate, financial services, insurance.

These services are provided through Ruralco’s extensive network of specialist business whose local expertise is backed up by Ruralco’s national strength.

CRT’s “Local Blokes” not only support rural and regional communities with goods and services, they are also a vital part of the community we live in. For example, CRT is building a new showroom in Lowood designed to service the local rural region.

CRT hosted their first Equine Expo at Rosewood which was an outstanding success. One of CRT's member companies - Dalby Rural - met with some success at this year's CRT National Conference in February, winning the National Retailer of the Year Award which acknowledges their on-going commitment to the rural community.

Community and service is the cornerstone of the CRT business and local knowledge is a highly valued attribute to all farmers across the board.

The possibilities for Queensland’s agricultural sector are endless, and CRT FarmFest is a wonderful platform for demonstrating the sector’s successes and capabilities.

CRT are looking forward to another exciting, innovative and very successful CRT FarmFest in 2012 and hope to see you there.
