CRT FarmFest 2011 highlights new agri-products
One of the prime functions of CRT FarmFest is to provide professionals on the land with comprehensive access to the latest machinery, equipment and services available to Australian primary industry.
Each year, participating companies use the giant field days near Toowoomba in Queensland as a launching pad for new products and services, in the process using the opportunities CRT FarmFest offers to make direct contact with their customers.
Among the innovations on site this year will be Clipex which is a 100 percent Australian family owned business run by Ashley Olsson and his sons. Olsson-Ag manufactures its famous Clipex fence posts, cattle handling equipment and gate products at its own plant. “It’s another reason they can maintain the superior quality at realistic prices, with their own patent pending technology, direct to the public with no middle men,” according to a spokesman. “Check out the new, innovative fencing, stock yards and gate range on the Clipex stand – offering great value for money.”
Advance Motors is Dalby’s only Suzuki, Kawasaki and Gasgas dealers and will be on site for customers wanting a bike or ATV for the farm. Advance Motors will be showcasing Suzuki Trojan and the Kawasaki Stockman as well as a wide range of ATVs. “And if you’re looking for a dirtbike, you won’t be able to go past the range of Gasgas Offroad Enduro bikes,” the spokesman said.
Aussie Tuff Liners, Tanks and Electric Fences will be offering a FarmFest special with the 113,000 litre zincalume steel tank. “You’ll find a range of modular water tanks, tank liners measured to fit your tank, JVA fault finders and electric fences powered by mains, battery or solar energizers to 45K.”
For tyres, wheels, batteries and all tyre servicing needs, Beaurepaires will be on site at CRT FarmFest and will be running a competition with a set of tyres as the prize.
Eco-Kinetics are engineering specialists offering clean energy solutions and will be demonstrating solar powered systems on site. The company says it is known as Australia’s leading solar system integrator.
Geronimo Farm Equipment are suppliers of Brandt Augers and Twister Silos for Australia. Geronimo will be offering a complete package for grain storage needs at FarmFest. Brandt supply eight inch supercharged augers up to 52 feet and Twister Silos are reputed to have the best aeration system on the market for grain drying.
Faber Tool Boxes are recognised in the agricultural and mining industries for “outstanding performance in harsh environments”. Faber Tool Boxes will have on display a wide range of their heavy duty toolboxes. “Ask about their famous trade-in option for all Faber customers wishing to upgrade their existing Faber box.”
Hare and Forbes Machinery House will be offering “great deals to all their bush buddies” on their wide range – drills , mills, lathes, sheet metal equipment and woodworking equipment.
Healthy Headquarters focus on water use efficiency and can help Murray-Darling irrigators invest in more efficient irrigation systems and technologies to reduce water loss. “This delivers long-term economic benefits and will also return a share of water savings to the basin’s rivers, wetlands and flood plains,” the company said.
J Leahy & Co Engineering will be demonstrating the Power Wheel for safe and easy auger handling. “There is no lifting or pushing, fits most diameter augers and has 12 volt operation.”

Visitors looking for roofing, walling and rainwater tanks, fencing and barb wire, hinged joint, gates and kits, unrated cattle grids, can see Metaland on site, “and meet your Metaland mates with a huge range of all your farm steel and fencing needs at hot prices,” a spokesman said. “Ask about the new range of livestock handling equipment including the Econo Vet Crush.”
National Poly Industries are leaders in poly water tanks and also manufacture the famous range of Polycraft boats. “So if you’re looking for water tanks then call into National Poly Industries and you’ll be offered a great show deal. They won’t be beaten on price.”
With weed spraying, fire fighting and custom mining equipment, QuickSpray units remote control retractable hose reel systems are engineered to suit Australian standards. “This makes them the safest and most user friendly units available on the market today,” a spokesman said. Tox Free Waste Solutions & J J Richards are leaders in waste transport, management and treatment to the mining, oil and gas industry, manufacturing, commercial, farming and domestic markets. Visitors are encouraged to “check out the latest in waste management and cleaning solutions” in their stand.
First-time exhibitor Weedtechnics have developed a patented saturated steam in a manner that can be used for the control of all weeds in the agricultural and urban environment. Special units will be on display at FarmFest. The company has 30 units currently in use all over the world.
“This year’s CRT FarmFest is packed with new ideas and equipment offering professionals on the land ever-increasing versatility and efficiencies,” said a spokesman for the organisers, Rural Press Events. “These are just a few examples.”
