THE Friday Forum starts at 2pm today, looking at bullying and cyber bullying.
Bullying has been increasingly recognised as a serious problem that affect millions of children and adolescents throughout the world.
Being continually victimised by peers can seriously affect the mental and physical health of targeted children and adolescents, in some cases lasting a lifetime.
The good news is there are things you can do about it if you, or if a mate or your child is being bullied.
The Friday Forum's expert panel includes:
- Former school teacher, psychologist, parent, academic and bullying expert Professor Ken Rigby
- Wollemi Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service, Orange Health Service senior social worker Naomi Lavery
- Young and Well Co-operative Research Centre Youth Brains Trust advocate Cassandra Prigg
- Kids Help Line counselling centre counsellor, trainer and acting assistant manager Alexandra Curtis
The Friday Forum is a joint initiative of The Land and the Rural Adversity Mental Health Program.
If you don't feel comfortable joining the discussion, you can still follow the conversation.
