THE Brahman breed firmly put its stamp on the beef capital of Australia when it swooped and claimed two of the three interbreed championship ribbons at the Rockhampton Show.
And while the Childs family, Glenlands Droughtmasters, took the interbreed supreme champion breeders group, it really was all Brahmans for the interbreed supreme champion male and female.
A heavily in-calf Grey Brahman female NCC Anna walked away with the interbreed championship supreme champion female ribbon after also claiming senior and grand champion female in the Brahman ring.
"I stopped at this grey because she has beautiful udder development," said judge Anastasia Fanning. NCC Anna is owned by Brett Nobbs, NCC Brahmans Duaringa, and was exhibited on his behalf by the Nicole and Tania Hartwig, Monto.
The interbreed supreme male champion, senior and grand champion bull was the whopping 1066kg Timbrel Mr L Derado Manso, owned by Terry and Susan Connor, Gracemere, and Les and Anne Marshall, Jambin.

The barely two-year-old bull sired by Roxborough W Denominator from Wilgangi Jessaru, also beat NCC Anna to take the champion of the Brahman breed.
"This is a massive bull, weighing more than 1000kg, and he has beautiful depth and carries it the whole way through his body," Ms Fanning said.
"Every time he steps and stands there, he says 'Look at me! I'm going to go out and do what a sire does'," she said.
Reserve champion senior bull was Kenrol Profit Manso, the 740kg entry exhibited by Ken and Debbie Cole Kenrol Brahman Stud, Gracemere.
Champion junior female was Droonoodoo Miss Serenity, owned by Dean Rasmussen, Kingaroy. The young cow under 15 months old, was sired by Droonoodoo Sure Sign
and is the daughter of Droonoodoo Miss Blancha.
"I think she is a capable female but still showing growth for her age, and she has plenty of muscling," Ms Fanning said.
Reserve junior champion female was Raglan Miss Valencia, owned by Andrew and Roxanne Olive, Raglan Brahmans, Raglan.
Junior champion bull was Glengarry Sir Locke, exhibited by Scott and Geoff Angel, Glengarry Brahmans, Marlborough, edging out Raglan Victory, owned by the Olives of Raglan Brahmans, who stood reserve.

Reserve calf female was Kenrol Lilly Rae, exhibited by the Cole family.
Ms Fanning said she had a lovely set of shoulders and tremendous length from hips to pins.
