THIS could be Australia’s cheapest, new, entry-level 4WD tractor, according to importer Midway Sales.
It is laying claim to the title based on the $13,950 price tag attached to its Chinese-made 18.75kW (25hp) Dongfeng “Factory Direct Range” which also comes with with a 4-in-1 bucket.
“In Australia we virtually key start them and roll them off the container,” Midway Sales director Scott Spring-Brown said.
“A final safety check, pre delivery, is conducted and they are ready to go to work,” he added.
The company says while the Dongfeng brand may be relatively unknown in Australia, it comes from the same stable as the well established East Wind brand that has been sold in this country for the past 15 years.
Midway Sales offers a choice between a 18.75kW (25hp) model (ZB25), 26.25kW (35hp) model (ZB35) and a 33.75kW (45hp) model (ZB45) equipped with 1.5L, 2.23L and 2.83L direct injected diesel engines respectively.
The manual four-speed transmission comes with high and low range and their three point linkage and PTO shaft for operasting everything from slashers to grader blades is part of the standard specification.
As well, there is an Australian Certified, folding, Roll Over Protective Structure (ROPS), PTO shaft guard and retractable seat belt. Plus, a clutch-engaged safety switch prevents accidental ‘take offs’ when starting.
The standard 4-in-1 bucket can scoop, blade, level, as well as grab, with the BL-25, BL-35 and BL-45 boasting lifting capacities of 350kg, 400kg and 500kg respectively.
Its self-levelling feature is enhanced by a quick-release mechanism and Midway Sales says these machine come a one-year parts warranty.
