THE 19,229-hectare (47,516 acres) Clermont property Albinia has sold for $11.5 million.
Albinia was offered by Dale Appleton and bought by the Eddie Dennis and family, Old Twin Hills, Clermont, about an hour after it was passed in at an auction in Clermont yesterday (March 22).
The sale price was the same as the figure the property was passed in for at the auction. Three of the five registered bidders were active at the auction.
Located on the Belyando River about 188km north west of Clermont, the property has both EU and organic accreditation.
Water is a feature of Albinia with two flowing bores. The country is described as flat to gently undulating and timbered with gidyea, brigalow, box, ironbark, coolibah, bloodwood and sandalwood. About 12,000ha has been pulled. The predominant pastures are buffel, seca and legumes.
Improvements include a four bedroom homestead, sheds and yards.
The marketing agent was Michael Goodwin from Australian Livestock in Clermont.
