The Queensland Premier, Annastacia Palaszczuk attended the RNA Charity Fundraiser today at the Ekka.
This is the second year the fundraiser has been held to support children from drought affected Queensland.
All funds raised this year goes towards purchasing ipads or tablets for students at the Mount Isa and Charters Towers Schools of Distance Education-with all items being bought locally.
The high tea fundraising event saw 400 people from across Queensland converge on the Brisbane Showgrounds, the home of the Ekka to be entertained by the MC, Landline’s Pip Courtney and guest speaker, author and registered nurse, Annabelle Brayley.
A cheque was presented to Jane Thomas from the RNA a cheque for $2000 on behalf of the Queensland Government to go towards fundraising efforts.
