THE Brodie family's blue ribbon farming and grazing properties Boorameel, Deepwater and Number Four are on the market.
Offered by John and Michelle Brodie and their daughters Annie and Nell, the three freehold properties will be auctioned by Ray White Rural in Brisbane on October 28. Each property will be auctioned individually.
Boorameel is located 20km west of Condamine and covers 1617 hectares (3996 acres). The freehold property is predominantly brigalow, belah country with 1348ha of cultivation. Improvements include a four bedroom homestead, cottage, 500 tonne grain complex, and steel cattle yards.
Number Four is a 1518ha (3751 acre) freehold property located 75km west of Condamine and 50km from Boorameel. The majority of the property is developed brigalow, belah country with 536ha establised to buffel grass and 2426ha for grain crops. Improvements include a four bedroom home, shed, silos, and cattle yards. Number Four is divided into nine main and two holding paddocks, which are serviced by a laneway system.
Deepwater is a 6615ha (16,346 acre) property boosting exception water security that is located 25km west of St George. The property is brigalow, belah, yellowjacket and box country with 2276ha of cultivation and 441ha of irrigation. Improvements include a four bedroom homestead, sheds, silos, protable cattle yards, and a shearing shed.
Deepwater also has 2800 megalitre and 1856ML water licences. There are two storage dams with 600ML capacity. There are five irrigation bores and two stock bores. A bore scheme also supplies 16 tanks and 21 troughs.
All of three properties are being offered on a bare basis.
