The eastern seaboard's big September wet has held supply numbers in check at NVLX store cattle market on Thursday where a much smaller penning of 1500 was penned.
Buyers from the local area, Euroa, Benalla, Balranald and Bathurst were the main operatives, and appeared more willing to participate at recent improved trading levels whereby steers mostly made 380- 420c/kg, and heifers 360- 400 cents.
The supply of beef bred females was limited while crossbred cow and calves were only in modest number to sell mostly from $1800 to $2500 per outfit.
Albury/Wodonga agents Elders, Landmark and Corcoran Parker conducted the sale.
