Now available from Australian dealers, the new Massey Ferguson 5700 SL four-model range is set to be a major player in the highly competitive utility segment.

The tractors offer great visibility, maneuverability and transmission control and come with a healthy dose of kudos having been named Best Utility Tractor in the 2016 Tractor of the Year awards.

Agco product manager John Horan said they are an ideal loader tractor with a European build at a competitive price.

“The MF 5700 SL Series introduces a new genre of tractors that build on the success of the MF 5600 Series,” Mr Horan said.

“They mold the compact dimensions required by livestock and mixed farmers with the performance and power needed for arable work.

“They are perfect for farmers wanting a loader built tractor and about 80 to 90 per cent of these will be fitted with a loader.

“This is a very crowded market segment but one this tractor does very, very well in,” he said.

Mr Horan said the 5711 would be a big mover.

“It hits that sweet spot for horsepower, size and obviously price,” he said.

“For anyone wanting to go to a powershift tractor, that is loader ready and with a basic but high specification and with PTO speed, it is the 5711 that will suit that customer.”

The new range includes the MF 5710 which complements the three cylinder MF 5600 lineup.

Agco Power 4.4 litre engines offer 73 kilowatt to 95kW with combined emissions technology tucked neatly under the cab

All models come with either the Dyna-4 or Dyna-6 transmission with a brake to neutral function and optional AutoDrive, providing automatic changing of the four or six steps in fieldwork, as well as the ranges when in transport.

The Dyna-6 transmission provides 24/24 forward reverse speeds while the Dyna-4 transmission offers 16/16 speeds.

Optional front axle suspension does not interfere with loader or front linkage fitment.

The hydraulic system offers 100 litres a minute combined flow rates from the 58 l/min linkage pump and 42 l/min from an additional high pressure pump for the loader.

The MF 5700 SL Series offers great visibility and the same cab comfort as larger models.

The ‘Speedsteer’ option allows variance of the lock-to-lock steering turns for loading and headland operations.

A new dashboard colour display makes it easier to use the Set-up and Information Screen (SIS).

The optional Auto-Guide 3000 steering and AgCommand machine monitoring and security telemetry can be supplied factory installed.
