DOING well by doing good was the apt theme for this Crawford Fund Queensland 2017 seminar.
The seminar held in Parliament House in Brisbane outlined Queensland’s impacts and benefits in agricultural research as well as showcasing some of the amazing work being carried out in developing countries.
Four Queenslanders doing well by doing good with the Crawford Fund are Adam Redman from DAF, who provides training on forestry in South East Asia and the Pacific; Madaline Healey, a PhD candidate and volunteer and mentor working on horticulture in Laos; Gurion Ang, PhD candidate researching biological control for crops in Samoa; and Tarni Cooper, a PhD candidate working on livestock in East Africa and Vietnam.
