This month marks the one year anniversary since Clermont-based steel fabrication business Gregory Fabrications purchased Breckon Cattle Equipment (BCE) with the aim of further diversifying their range of products and service for their rural clients.
Gregory Fabrications finance manager Sharon Seawright said the business had been manufacturing BCE products since 2013 but it wasn’t until April 2016 that Gregory Fabrications purchased the business to be able to continue the manufacturing of their proven quality livestock handling products.
“We also wanted to be able to expand our services and products to rural clients and utilise our hands-on approach to enhance our knowledge of our equipment,” Sharon said.
“With a strong cattle market it’s exciting and rewarding for us to offer a range of cattle equipment known to be robust and withstand the test of time,” she said.
“But regardless of what the cattle market is doing, we know with our continued aftermarket service – whether it be for a complete refurb or spare parts for a current product – we can accommodate our client’s needs.”
She said the business is continually striving to be a leader in the rural industry through innovation and value for money for our products.
“We aim to achieve this through our dedication to our customers, continued research and development, and working with our customers to constantly improve our renowned equipment to make the livestock handling process more efficient, safe and profitable for our client.”

Gregory Fabrications is a privately owned steel fabrication business which has been servicing the mining and rural sector of Central Qld since 2001. The business employs 14 valued staff members dedicated to the manufacture and marketing of BCE products.
Becker backs Breckon crush
Sam Becker heads up marketing and brand management at his family's integrated beef operation, Jarrah Cattle Company, as well as handling the general day to day running of the cattle operation spread across five properties in the Dawson Valley region.
Mr Becker said the pneumatic cattle crush purchased from BCE has created significant time and labour savings for the business over the years.
“Being a family operation we have to be an extremely efficient and productive operation to ensure cost of production stays low to ensure maximum profit," he said.
“One of those measures includes having equipment that ensures that when processing cattle, efficiency is optimal and labour is kept to a minimum.”
To help achieve optimal efficiency Mr Becker thoroughly researched and inspected several pneumatic cattle crushes available on the market, but said he couldn’t go past the BCE product which fitted the needs of their operation to a tee.
“Since purchasing the BCE crush I haven’t looked back.
“By having an air operated BCE crush, when processing cattle we don’t need as many people to get the job done, and the crush has also cut a significant amount of time off processing cattle.
“The material used on the crush is high quality and heavy duty so the product can handle the work load.”
