A high quality yarding of 911 head were sold at Stariha Auctions Laidley cattle sale last Thursday. The market remained strong for all types, with heifers selling to dearer rates.
Ian Lindemeyer, Mt Sylvia, sold 12 month old triplets, two steers and a heifer, for an impressive $1300 each. Col Duncan, Flagstone Creek, sold Charolais cows for $1380, heifers for $1400 and 8 month old weaners for $1025. Barbara Jensen, Lockyer Waters, sold Droughtmaster cows for $1300, cows and calves for $1600 and 18 month old steers for $1300. Jeff Gillam, Grandchester, sold Droughtmaster cows for $1500. Hansens Run, Left Hand Branch, sold Charbray heifers for $1345.

Country Wide Farms, Ebenezer, sold Limousin cross steers to a top of $1830 and lines of milk tooth steers for $1290 and heifers for $1180.
