DINGO property Namoi sold on a walk in, walk out basis for $2.6 million at a Ray White Rural auction on Wednesday.
Offered by Max and Hilary Gunthorpe, the property was bought by nearby landholders Lindsay and Fiona Barlow, Triple B Brangus, Dingo. Namoi was offered with 780 cattle.
Located 10km south of Dingo and 150km west of Rockhampton, Namoi comprises 2023 hectares (5000 acres) of gently undulating, good quality forest country.
Marketing agent Richard Brosnan, Ray White Rural, said Namoi had received seven inspections, reflecting the ongoing demand for country in Central Queensland.
Originally timbered with ironbark and bloodwood there are now large developed areas supporting Gayndah and USA buffel, seca stylo, katamboora and Callide Rhodes, green panic, and sabi grass as well as native pastures.
The property is well watered with five dams, three bores, eight water tanks and access to seasonal water holes in Bridgewater Creek.
There are four main paddocks and two holding paddocks. Namoi boasts sound infrastructure including three residences and workers' quarters.
