MSF conference
FARMER research organisation Mallee Sustainable Farming (MSF), which has a footprint across low rainfall zones in Victoria, NSW and South Australia, will hold its annual conference in Mildura on August 7 and 8.
The event, to be held at the Grand Hotel, will feature speakers including Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) managing director Steve Jefferies and Grain Producers Australia chairman Andrew Weidemann.
Dinner will feature special guest, celebrity chef Simon Bryant, from ‘The Cook and the Chef’.
Cotton awards night
TICKETS for the cotton industry’s premier annual event, the 2017 Australian Cotton Industry Awards Night, are now available.
The annual awards recognise excellence throughout the cotton supply chain.
This year’s event will be held at the Griffith Ex-Servicemen’s Club on July 26 from 6.30pm.
CropLogic purchase
CropLogic, the predictive decision support system for farmer due to list on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) later this year, has purchased US-based Professional Ag Services (ProAg).
ProAg is an agronomy based in Washington State in the north-western corner of the United States.
CropLogic officials say the purchase will give the company immediate access to the North American agricultural industry.
No-till conference
THE VICTORIAN No-Till Farmers Association (VNTFA) will holds its annual conference in Moama, NSW on July 13-14.
Speakers will include no-till farmer Ted Langley, Bordertown, SA and US farming expert Paul Jasa, of the University of Nebraska.
