A quality yarding of 480 head saw a strong market at the Miriam Vale Store Sale on June 20. With a large crowd, buyers came from South Burnett, Middlemount, Gympie districts along with strong local support.
Older steers sold to $1360 but few were yarded. There was a good quality yarding of weaner steers with Bradley and Wendy Wildman, Iveragh selling Brahman cross steers to $950.
Cliff and John Roylance, Bororen sold pen of Brahman cross steers for $905. Mitchell Graving, Calliope sold Grey Brahman weaner steers for $890. Phil and Kay Spencer, Miriam Vale sold Brahman cross weaner steers for $890. Most weaner steers sold from $700 up to $900.
Older Brahman cross heifers sold up to $920. Gary and Debbie Otto, Turkey Beach sold Brahman cross heifers for $850. Errol Blows, Ubobo sold Brahman cross weaner heifers for $535. The majority of weaner heifers sold from $500 to $600. Cows sold from $800 to $1000.
