A MAN will appear in the Roma Magistrates Court today following the seizure of a large amount of dangerous drugs at Roma on Monday.
At about 9.30am on Gregory Street, police from the the Roma Major and Organised Crime Squad (Rural) intercepted a vehicle towing a caravan and spoke to the driver in relation to previous fraud related matters.
A search was conducted of the vehicle and the caravan where it is alleged police located a large quantity of prescription tablets and a heat sealed bag containing about 1kg of the drug amphetamine.
The 46-year-old male driver from Pallara in Brisbane was charged with one count each of possessing a dangerous drug and unlawful possession of a controlled drug along with three counts of fraud.
Investigations Roma police by the Roma Major and Organised Crime Squad (Rural) are continuing.
