FOR an intensive horticulture grower, matching equipment to a specific crop and system is essential, so businesses which go the extra mile are appreciated.

Alligator Creek vegetable and speciality basil grower, Quin Nguyen chose to seek advice direct from his local Tracpower dealer to find a tailored match for his business.

Townsville Tracpower dealer Bob Lauro along with Silvan horticultural specialist and area manager, Frank Torrisi provided advice to Mr Nguyen  taking into account the scale, inputs and growing intensity of his enterprise.

These discussions resulted in the purchase of a  Silvan Super Series linkage sprayer with a 1,100 litre Polytuff tank.

A Devil HD 15 metre spray boom with hydraulic folding was also recommended to match the farms row spacing configuration and spray requirements.

Mr Nguyen said he was satisfied with the both the boom and the service. Specifically that Mr Lauro and Mr Torrisi delivered, set up and calibrated the new sprayer for him.

Silvan promote the Super Series linkage sprayer as a workhorse suited to farmers and contractors across a diversity of applications in vegetable production, horticulture, pasture management and lifestyle property applications.

Key features, said the company, are a wide range of tank sizes, extensive choice of boom assemblies and a choice of diaphragm pumps to suit the application requirements and spray patterns for a diversity of crops and products.
