Property sold, Moulamein prime lamb breeder, Charlie Arthur will disperse his “Longreach” flock of 2300 Dohne Merino ewes at the Wycheproof saleyards this Friday.

Based on the highly acclaimed Goolgumbla-blood, Mooloomoon flock - a repetitive market topper of annual Hay Merino breeders sales- Mr Arthur has sought high end Calga/Uardry Dohne rams over the past 10 years to breed a highly fertility prime lamb dam averaging 120 per cent of marked lambs and cutting 7.2kg of 20.5 micron wool.

His July shorn breeding lines will be offered in age groups from 2.5 to 6.5 years while his 16-drop maiden ewes are December shorn. Some 1300 mixed sex 17-drop Dohne lambs will also be offered as unshorn.
