There were 211 head yarded on Monday at Stariha Auctions Woodford cattle sale. With some handy storm rain in the local area, up to 90mm in places, a smaller yarding came to hand. The market remained fully firm for all types.
Jackson Hough, Hunchy, sold a Charolais bull for $1920. Mervyn Green, Villeneuve, sold Charolais cows for $1480 and Brangus cows for $1320. The Dakabin High School sold Lowline bulls for $1320-$1510 and a 20 month old steer for $1300. MR Friedrich, Toogoolawah, sold a line of Murray Grey cows for $990. Vanstone Family, Mt Mee, sold a Santa steer for $1800 and cows for $1110. Adam & Kerry Lees, Maleny, sold a 10 month old Limousin steer for $1190. C & B Denning, Maleny, sold a line of Droughtmaster male calves for $535. Colin Draper, Kilcoy, sold Angus heifers for $940.
