Fox hunters have killed scores of the feral animals in Victoria's southern Wimmera in recent weeks.
A KIND season in Victoria’s Wimmera has graziers upbeat, with good feed and plenty of water available.
But there is always something sent to test us, and it seems foxes have appreciated the good weather as much as their human neighbours and have bred up in damaging numbers.
Trevor Holmes, Toolondo, north of Balmoral, said hunting expeditions have been successful of late.
He took the following photos of dozens of foxes he has caught recently.
“We have got them all locally, they’ve all been caught within 10 or 15 kilometres of us.”
Fox numbers have been building in western Victoria of late.
