NO longer will farmers risk running out of seed before the last run, with new load cell technology on Gason air seeders.
The two new air seeders were on show at the Henty Machinery Field Days.
Holding 21,300 litres the 2210 is the largest on offer, while the 2170 has a total capacity of 17,250 litres.
AF Gason, agricultural division head and director, Greg Gason said the air seeders featured three bins which had the option of being fitted with variable rate technology (VRT) and load cells.
“The three bins are independent of each other, so you can mount load cells on each bin and each bin can be measured independently,” he said.
“If you are getting to the end of your planting season with just one paddock to go you fill it up and stop it, say at three tonne, you know that you will run it out.”
Mr Gason said their air seeders were ISOBUS compatible.
“We are compatible with and offer all the major brands of VRT; Farmscan, Topcon, Trimble,” he said.
“We are the only company with John Deere approval for fitting their dry rate controller.”
Mr Gason said the three years development and testing had paid off in the three bin systems integration with VRT and load cells.
“The feature of the load cells is brilliant, it is self calibrating so you can set your application rate and go,” he said.
“Its accurate and responsive.”
