This week I caught up for lunch with the Japanese Consul General and Brendan Goulding, chair of our International Committee. She was excited to talk about Beef 2018 and the importance of the trade between our countries. Japan has been such a strong market for so long.
At Beef 2015 we had over 1100 registered international guests, and we constantly aim to target the right guests to facilitate improved trade. From key decision makers, improving market access, to direct importers looking to buy product, investors and the people that ultimately fashion the demand for our Australian beef, the #GreatestMeatOnEarth.
Brendan and his committee are putting the final touches on the International program and this week marked the opening of Handshakes. Handshakes is a business matching program that matches members of the beef supply chain with importers and investors from around the globe.
If you are interested in exporting anything from cattle equipment to genetics to beef or if you have a project on the table looking for investment, jump in and sign up now. The great teams at Trade & Investment Qld and Austrade are mustering delegations from around the globe, Handshakes will then match internationals with Australian businesses most suited to their needs.
The program has been very successful with many deals written, in fact just this year my own company has written new business as a direct result of contacts made at Beef 2015.
Beef Australia continually strives to strengthen and diversify the platform we have built to promote Australia’s beef industry. I would encourage you to use Beef 2018 as the platform to enhance the global presence of your business.
