A total of 265 head were yarded at Stariha Auctions Woodford cattle sale on Monday. A full panel of buyers were in operation with cows and calves and feeder cattle in demand.
John and June Kent, Samsonvale, sold a line of 20-24 month old Charbray steers for $1460. The Hinterland Group, Wamuran, sold an Angus steer for $1590 and lines of 8-10 month old Droughtmaster steers for $845-$905. Zenray P/L, Moorina, sold a line of Droughtmaster cows and calves for $1730.
RW & J McLaughlin, Maleny, sold a line of Droughtmaster cows and calves for $1500. Trevor Ringelsten, Kilcoy, sold a Droughtmaster bull for $1730. Wagner Rural, Coomera, sold Droughtmaster heifers for $900. Terry Pratten, Kilcoy, sold Santa Hereford cross steers, 6 months, for $800.
Robert Freeman, Upper Caboolture, sold Angus weaner steers for $910. Chris Coulter, Mount Kilcoy, sold lines of Droughtmaster weaners for $760-$895. Crossbred lambs sold for $160.
