Pilot airlifted after paddock crash at Quilpie
A MALE pilot assisting with cattle work on a Quilpie property had to be airlifted to Brisbane with serious injuries yesterday after crashing his light airplane.
Police and emergency services responded to a report of an aircraft incident on a private property at Humeburn Road in Quilpie.
At around 3:30pm, the light airplane crashed into a paddock.

The 47-year-old male pilot was subsequently airlifted from Charleville Hospital to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane in a critical condition.
Investigations are continuing.
