On a day when Trump topped the polls, the Americans have trumped the Europeans with the Case Optum 300 CVX winning EIMA 2017 Tractor of the Year.
Not available in Australia, the American rig impressed the judges who noted its efficiency, ergonomics, power, technology and sophisticated design and presentation.
The Optum 300 CVX runs a 6.7 litre, 6-cylinder engine meeting Stage IV emissions standards via a selective catalytic reduction system.
It is fitted with a continuously-variable transmission, offering stepless travel from 0 to 50 km/h.
Other awards included the best Utility Tractor won by the New Holland T5.120 while the Best Specialised tractor went to the Antonio Carraro Tony 9800 TR.
