The Swan Hill series of annual spring sheep sales begin this week (Friday) with an advertised penning of 10,000 head kicking off with a 10am start.
Featured in this week’s yarding is 1500 Merino ewes, two lots joined to terminal sires and one line a 17-drop July-shorn ewe lambs. However the main interest, as per usual for this September sale, is an impressive display of breeders’ 17-drop Merino wether and crossbred lambs.
Lines from noted NSW-stations, Tin Tin, Koon Kool, Arundel, Waldaira, Waldaira North, Noorong, Bono and Glenbar should have wool growers and lamb refatteners, alike, keen to do business.
The following sale in the Swan Hill series is scheduled for AFL Grand Final eve, Friday September 29.
