Northern basis still strong in spite of rain

THE RED hot basis in the northern cropping zone has fallen in recent weeks as the industry factors in a potential summer crop to alleviate the current tightness in feed grain.

Gregor Heard is ACM's national grains industry reporter, based in Horsham, Victoria. He has a wealth of knowledge surrounding the cropping sector through his 15 years in the role.
