Sullivan Livestock yarded 650 quality females at their Woolooga breeder sale held on Thursday March 22, where prices reflected the quality on offer.
Topping the day was a Charbray cow and calf from Gary Hickmont, Goomeri selling for $2650, while the rest of Gary’s Simmental cross cows and calves made $2125, $2075 and $2025. His Simbrah heifers, PTIC, made $1760.
Charbray heifers and calves from Lance and Evellyn Atthow, Manumbar made $2300, $2100, $2025 and $1925, while their Droughtmaster heifers and calves made $1950. Lance and Evellyn’s PTIC cows made $1860, $1550 and $1325.
Chris and Hailey Heness, Goomeri sold Charbray and Simbrah cows and calves for $2100, $2000, $1950, while their PTIC sisters made $1400. Dr Peter Gous sold Droughtmaster cross cows with Simmental cross calves for $2010, $1850 and $1825.
Santa cross cows and calves from Darryl Stanton, Goomeri sold for $1800. Young Brahman heifers and calves from the Younger family made $1720. Grey Brahman cows PTIC from Jason and Jo Carter, Widgee sold for $1675.
Quality Brangus heifers 16 months from Russell and Trish McIntosh sold for $1200. Droughtmaster heifers 18 months from Phil and Pam Ley, Booie made $1420. Droughtmaster heifers 12 – 14 months from Konjulie Pty Ltd, Woolooga sold for $1260 and $1200.
Generally better quality weaner heifers sold from $740 to $1010.
