POLICE have charged on a man with a number of drug and weapons related offences on a remote property west of Townsville.
During the search, officers from the Charters Towers Major and Organised Crime Squad Rural located a number of cannabis plants, drugs (steroids), a rifle silencer and knuckle dusters.
A number of deceased macropod’s were also located within a freezer on the property.
A 40-year old man was charged with a number of offences including producing a dangerous drug, possession of a dangerous drug, unlawful possession of weapons and unlawfully keeping native wildlife.
It is an offence to take, keep and/or use native animals without authority under the Nature Conservation Act.
