Anglican Church Grammar School, “Churchie” in Brisbane, was established 100 years ago and to this day the emphasis has been on catering for and advancing the career pathways for rural boys.
Churchie head of boarding, Jason Wynne-Markham and several of the schools boarding students were in attendance at their site and in the ring at Beef Australia 2018.
Mr Wynne-Markham said 75 per cent of the students who attend Churchie are from rural backgrounds.
“With the expanded agricultural program we have in place, we’re now looking to reestablish our foothold in Central Queensland and the Central West.
“We’re aiming to do this by attending Beef Australia 2018 – where it was our fourth year parading – and by flying the flag at the other various upcoming field days and beef-related events in Queensland throughout the year.”
