Close to 1500 students including 156 boarders are enrolled at Brisbane Boys College this year, and according to BBC director of admissions Bronwyn Mackay-Payne, who was on-site at Beef Australia 2018, it’s the diverse makeup of the student body that makes it a great place to develop the skills necessary to forge a successful career.
“As well as the local students, we have boys attending the college who live in the NT, NSW and overseas, who all learn from each others experiences, which is vital today as the world is one big neighborhood,” she said.
“Knowledge-based learning is no longer enough. We teach our boys to question the status quo and solve problems to make the world a better place. Not just when they leave school.”
Ms Mackay-Payne said Beef also provides a great opportunity for the staff to catch up with parents of past and present BBC students.
“The Old Boys also love to come in and talk about the school, and find out about the latest news and developments.”
