Sheep still stranded as live sheep demand hits peak

The Al Shuwaikh docked in Fremantle last week for a few days preparing to load sheep for export, but it returned to moor off the coast of Kwinana where it was accompanied by the Al Messilah on Monday.  With two vessels parked up off the coast it is unclear how much cost is being incurred by the company while it waits to transport the animals.

AUSTRALIAN sheep supplies in the Middle East will soon run out if Emanuel Exports is unable to finalise its contract to supply Al Mawashi, Kuwaiti Livestock Transport and Trading (KLTT) with live animals, according to a Farm Weekly source.
