STAYING CONNECTED when on the quad bike or side-by-side vehicle (SSV) is important, both for farm efficiency and safety.
On release, communications manufacturer, Uniden claim the new XTRAK 40 CB will provide clear transmission even when surrounded by loud machinery, while offering the practical features of being dust and water proof.
“A compact design allows the radio to fit neatly into any vehicle and features dual speakers in both the heavy-duty speaker microphone and the CB radio case, allowing the user to hear communications clearly while operating loud equipment,” it said.
The XTRAK 40 features the unique ability to record and instantly replay up to three minutes of transmission, a feature the company said was useful in loud environments where communications could be missed.
“Smart microphone technology enables effortless switching between voice enhancer, instant replay, instant channel or the call tone feature,” it said.
Uniden said the master scanner feature allowed users to communicate across a range of channels.
“If communication is interrupted, all radios within the group will automatically transfer to another available channel so that uninterrupted communication can continue,” it said.
