AGCO brand, Massey Ferguson, has announced an upgrade to its french built range of tractors, with the MF range now being designated as the S Series.
Coined the ‘S-Effect’, Massey Ferguson said it would introduce extra efficiency, comfort, safety and style to the 75 to 275 kilowatt (100 to 370 horsepower) range of its high-specification Beauvais, France, built tractors.
Massey Ferguson, product manager, John Horan said the new models will have a host of new features, including the option of a Fieldstar 5 terminal.
“Massey Ferguson is continuing to invest in developing and introducing new equipment to help customers enhance efficiency and economy,” he said.
“The S-Effect, first introduced on the award-winning MF 6700 S series, enhances operational efficiency across the ranges, and adds a stylish new design.”
Mr Horan said the new Massey Ferguson S-Series line-up included the MF 5700 S, MF 6700 S, MF 7700 S and MF 8700 S.
“These tractors represent everything that’s best in super-comfort, safety, straightforward engineering, stylish looks and solid service back-up – all in support of smart, sustainable farming,” he said.
On release, Massey Ferguson said the tractors have a distinctive new style with a new bonnet design, decals, bar lights and headlights to create a progressive, leading-edge look.
The company also said the addition of the Fieldstar 5 touch-screen ISOBUS terminal would combine the ease of use and touch-screen with the convenience of a tablet .
Capable of the standard precision farming features, including mapping, automatic section control, variable rate applications, record keeping and comprehensive machinery monitoring with telemetry, Massey Ferguson said they will also offer the choice of two GNSS receiver suppliers, either NovAtel or Trimble.
