An organisational restructure at CNH Industrial has resulted in the formation of a new executive body and leadership structure.
The parent company of machinery brands Case IH and New Holland announced the appointment of Derek Neilson as the global president of agriculture.
Mr Neilson has been a part of the CNH Industrial executive team for over ten years in a variety of roles, including acting as interim CEO in 2018.
CNH Industrial, chief executive officer, Hubertus Mühlhäuser said the changes were a result of a detailed assessment of the company, including feedback from customers and partners.
“Our industry is experiencing an ever-accelerating rate and growing magnitude of change fueled by megatrends such as digitalisation, automation, electrification and servitisation,” he said.
“Companies need to adapt, change and revitalise themselves continuously in order to meet these business challenges and successfully generate long-term value.
“While we found numerous areas of excellence, as indicated by our continued strong year-over-year performance, we also identified opportunities for improvement, such as changing our organisational set-up into the new organisational structure presented today.”
Under the new structure, commercial and specialty vehicles segment, including brands Iveco and Magirus, will be led by new appointment Gerrit Marx.
While existing leaders will continue in the construction, finance and powertrain segments.
