The combined selling agents of Gracemere sold a total of 3970 head on Friday, comprising 1849 steers, 1484 heifers, 391 cows, 18 bulls, 24 cows and calves. Cattle came from all local areas and as far north as Collinsville and Bowen. Quality was very mixed in some categories but overall it was good. The effects of the current weather conditions are becoming more evident with some very light conditioned cows and younger cattle being offered.

Slaughter cows sold to 269c, average 219c, cows 400-450kg made 272c, average 186c, cows 320-400kg reached 230c, average 126c, and cows under 320kg made 116c, average 80c.
Heavy heifers sold to 273c, average 256c, heifers 300-400kg made 261c, average 223c, heifers 200-300kg reached 230c, average 187c, and heifers under 200kg made 220c, average 174c.
