There were 637 head yarded at Elders Harristown Saleyards on Monday. Cows sold to an easier market, however bullocks were fully firm to dearer with all other classes remaining firm.
Best bulls ex Hodgsonvale, returned $2111, with a Friesian bull a/c Zischke Farming Haden, returning $2195. Heavy steers a/c Mike and Mary Donohoe, Goombungee, sold to 319.2c to return $1717, while the companion heifers reached 269.2c to return $1209.
Two tooth steers a/c Gary Lowien, Thornville, sold to 302.2c to return $1548. Feeder steers sold to 288.2c. Cows topped at 225.2c with most selling from 190 - 210c with medium weight cows selling from 150 - 190c.
Best trade heifers a/c M and M Reichstein, Oakey, sold to 276.2c. Trade weight feeders a/c G and W Motley, Plainby, sold to 295.2c with lightweight Angus steers ex Nobby selling to 298.2c.
