Family owned John Deere dealer Agriquip Machinery has announced it will become a part of Sydney based LandHQ, marking another consolidation of machinery dealers this year.
Agriquip managing director Russell Dunlop said the sale would not affect business at its Bowral and Queanbeyan dealerships, and the Dunlop family would continue to remain heavily involved in strategy and day-to-day management of the business.
Mr Dunlop said the consolidation was fully supported by John Deere's ongoing Dealer of Tomorrow strategy, designed to strengthen the dealer network and provide long-term stability for both dealers and customers.
"We will work tirelessly with the team at LandHQ and assure our customers that our pricing, product and support procedures will remain unchanged," he said.
"We are excited about the opportunities for growth and innovation and a continuation of being a trusted provider of solutions through our product lines."
LandHQ managing director James Evins said the Dunlop family had a wealth of experience.
"We are excited about where their continued expertise takes us," he said.
"What sets us apart from other dealers in our area is that we make it a local experience.
"We strive to carry the best products in the industry, and we make sure our customers are well taken care of when they need it.
"LandHQ and Agriquip are known for having service technicians on call for customers' needs when out in the field. That kind of thing is important to us and we'll leverage the strength and heritage of the Southern Highlands and ACT dealership to deliver complete solutions for farm, yard, turf and construction across the region."
Penrith based LandHQ is a partnership between Mr Evins and Hutcheon and Pearce managing director Arron Hutcheon, serving the greater Sydney area.
In its own right Hutcheon and Pearce own 11 John Deere dealerships in southern NSW.
