WOMEN held sway at regional race meetings in Bundaberg, Dalby and Yeppoon on February 1.
At Bundaberg female riders claimed four of the five races, courtesy of doubles to Hannah English and Louise Dillon, as Robbie Faehr flew the solitary winning flag for the guys.
Faehr, however, did share the win with his partner, successful trainer Cherie Vick.
English landed the Quaite Electrical Class B (850m) on Ruby Lil for Wondai trainer Lindsay Anderson and completed the double in the next race aboard Bootshaker in the Don Finemore Open (850m) for Ray Williams' stable.
Dillon's double was also posted in consecutive races - Omnia Tidak Takut in the Christensen Industries Maiden (1090m) and Layla's Lady in the Sambrett Homes Handicap (1212m).
Sonja Wiseman (Lennon's Paddock and Plan 'N' Simple) and Tasha Chambers (Our Girl Tamiya) were winners at the Yeppoon meeting.
In Dalby Skye Bogenhuber and Tessa Townsend were winners for the girls.
Bogenhuber teamed with country stalwart Ken Waller to win with Hey Doll in the Dalby Leagues Club Handicap (1400m).
Afterwards Bogenhuber said it was a thrill to win for Waller, who had been a guiding light when she launched her riding career.
Provincial and regional racing this week will be held at Kilcoy (February 5) and Beaudesert, Cairns, Emerald, Miles and Toowoomba on February 8.
