A next generation rake from New Holland promises to deliver even more performance and durability than its predecessors.
The latest in the Rolabar series, the Model 230 V-rake was officially released to Australian farmers this month.
New Holland product segment manager for hay and forage Sune Nielsen said the new model was what customers had been asking for.
"The Model 230 provides the larger haymaker with a high-performance rake and the benefit that Rolabar configuration brings to quality haymaking," he said.
Mr Sune said the model had a maximum raking width of 9.14 metres, utilising seven bar baskets each housing 259 rubber-mounted tines.
"That's a total of 518 tines to ensure clean and efficient raking performance," he said.
"All tine bars run on double ball bearings.
"The tractor-mounted electronic control box manages rake functions including basket raise and lower, rake fold and unfold, basket angle, floatation mode, basket speed and hydraulic drive on and off functions.
"The rake baskets are fitted with gauge wheels to ensure excellent ground following characteristics."
