Dam levels drop as farmers fear for dry months ahead

LOOKS DECEIVING: Beef farmer Rex Hergenhan, Bega, says while some paddocks are green along the east coast, much more rain is needed to fill empty dams following a dry start to the year after an ordinary 2019.

Concerns are mounting along the south-east coast of Australia as parts of Victoria and NSW experience a drier start to 2020 compared with the same time last year.
