AFTER 85 years of ownership Donald McIntosh and family are selling their well developed 5394 hectare (13,330 acre) Glenmorgan property Murilla South.
To be auctioned online by Nutrien Harcourts GDL on November 12, Murilla South is situated 25km north of Glenmorgan, 40km south of Surat, 119km from Roma and 201km from Dalby.
The quality grazing and farming country is well located to major livestock markets, feedlots and grain handling facilities, the property has a bitumen frontage.
The country is mainly productive black self-mulching soil, with the balance being softer red soils.
There is currently 1330ha of cultivation with the potential to expand the farmed area with a good PMAV map in place. Current crops include 1044ha of wheat, 182ha of chickpeas and 68ha of barley.
The well watered property has 14 dams that have never been dry in the past 85 years. All of the dams are equipped with either a windmill or solar unit.
Murilla South is well fenced and has a 17km of exclusion fencing with most fences renewed in the last eight to 10 years.
All of the facilities are located in the centre of the property. The 1000 head cattle yards are equipped with a four way draft, race, crush, scales, loading ramp and water. There are also five opportunity feed pens set up with feeder bins and water.
There are also grain storage facilities, a shearing shed and yards, machinery shed, workshop, hay shed and storage shed.
The four bedroom main homestead is well maintained and there are also two good cottages.
Marketing agent Russell Jorgensen, Nutrien Harcourts GDL, said Murilla South was sure to tick a lot of boxes as it offered productive soil types, secure water, and had benefited from conservative management and continuous development.
"Murilla South is in a great location, has good PMAV map in place that offers easy diversification for grazing, fodder crops and grain," Mr Jorgensen said.
