Aussie wheat cheap on the world stage, but farmers still happy

SLIDING basis levels mean that Australian wheat prices are now cheap on the world stage, but the surge in global grain values over the past couple of months means farmers are still happy with values as the 2020-21 crop comes off.

Gregor Heard is ACM's national grains industry reporter, based in Horsham, Victoria. He has a wealth of knowledge surrounding the cropping sector through his 15 years in the role. Prior to that he was with the Fairfax network as a reporter with Stock & Land.
