A 35-year-old man Clermont man has died after colliding with a truck at Fiery Creek, east of Nebo in the early hours of Friday morning.
Initial investigations indicate that around 1.30am, a grey dual cab utility travelling west on the Peak Downs Highway collided with a truck travelling in the opposite direction.
Emergency services attended and located the driver and sole occupant of the utility, who died at the scene.
The driver of the truck, a 42-year-old Mirani man, sustained minor injuries.
The Peak Downs Highway has re-opened and Forensic Crash Unit investigations are continuing.
