Positivity abounds as dairy industry gather for first time since COVID outbreak, see who was in attendance.

ABOUT 150 registered for the SA dairy conference at Victor Harbor on Thursday - the largest dairy industry event in SA since the first COVID outbreak restrictions kicked in last year.

Kicking off the day, DairySA chair Michael Connor talked about the positivity within the industry presently, plus and DairySA's latest activities and plans for the year ahead.

A panel featuring Dairy Australia analyst Sofia Omstedt, Beston Global Food Company CEOJonathon Hicks; La Casa Del Formaggio general manager Claude Cicchiello; and Torrens Vale dairyfarmer Wes Hurrell, was then held to talk about sustainbility in the dairy industry.

Compass Agribusiness managing director Nigel Pannett spoke of potential investment options for dairyfarmers, while Tom Cosentino gave an update on the SA Dairy Industry Fund.

NSW Department of Primary Industries AMS project lead Nico Lyons talked about the various technologies in the industry and how uptake has been; while Regenerative Agriculture Alliance founder Lorraine Gordon talked about how regenerative ag could apply to dairy farms.
