The NSW Hunter Valley's largest agricultural show, the Tocal Field Days, will return in 2021 after last year's event became a victim of COVID-19.
Event manager Wendy Franklin said the return of the event was great news for farmers and the community.
Ms Franklin said Tocal Field Days gave farmers and farm suppliers a chance to get together, share ideas, and to buy from each other.
Local community groups will also benefit from grants issued from the event's proceeds - a record $40,000 was given out in 2019.
"After the drought and then COVID-19, it is time to celebrate and have some fun - in a COVID safe way of course," she said.
Ms Franklin said all Tocal's favourite activities would return including the piglet races, fencing demonstrations, sheep shearing, horse course display, the working dogs, motorbikes, quads and side-by-sides.
There will be food, wine, art and craft displays, fashion parades, gardening talks, cooking demonstrations and cooking workshops for kids and adults.
"The homestead will be open and is the location for the gum boot throwing competition. Live entertainment will be provided by local school students who are paid through the Talent@Tocal program."
Robotics and drone demonstrations will form part of a special feature on future farming.
"We are continuing our focus on bees and bee-keeping, which proved so popular last event."

The three-day event will be held at Tocal Agricultural Centre from Friday, April 30, to Sunday, May 2. Tickets are now on sale at tocalfielddays.com or they can be bought at the gate.
Friday is Seniors Day with $15 entry for seniors with government issued ID.
"Once you have bought a ticket, many activities and competitions are free, making it an affordable day out for the family," Ms Franklin said.
A free park and ride shuttle bus from Maitland rail station via Lorn will run every hour to make it easy for people to get to the event.
The 2019 event attracted more than 23,000 people.
