Farmers from central Queensland through to northern NSW were active at a very successful clearing sale held on behalf of well known harvesting contractor Viv Spark near Kingsthorpe last Friday.
Mr Spark is winding down much of his business and put his excess machinery up for sale.
Ray White Rural Pittsworth conducted the sale in conjunction with Ray White NASCO with an online presence which saw 510 buyers registering.
Selling agent Matt Cleary said the machinery was presented extremely well and that was reflected throughout the sale with above market results being achieved.
Mr Cleary said there was strong demand for good used machinery at the moment.
"There are a number of reasons and one is the turnaround in the season, plus all the dealers will tell about the long waiting time for new machines."
Prices achieved included a John Deere S670 2016 header selling for $320,000 while a John Deere S670 2015 header went for $300,000, and a Simplicity air seeder for $53,000.
Other prices included:
41' Midwest Draper Front - $ 67,000;John Deere 640D 40' Draper front - $ 70,000; John Deere 8345R f.w. Assist 2545hrs - $305,000; John Deere 7210R f.w. Assist 4125hrs - $130,000, Brimarco Drop Deck Trailer - $ 94,000; and a 96 Kenworth T601 Truck - $ 82,000.
